Casinos open on Alaska cruises?

We''ll be on Millenium NB this summer. Is casino ever open or are you mostly in USA waters, so closed?

We have taken 3 Alaska cruises, albeit none on Celebrity. Casinos were open each evening..out in international waters...no problem.

I am sailing NCL to Alaska in May.  I saw the open and close times for the casino and I must admit it is going to take a bit of an adjustment.  Sometimes the we are in port at 11pm.  Sometimes the casino is open from 9am until 2pm then it reopens way later in the day actually more like 10pm.  If you search Cruise Critic you might find the "dailies" or whatever Millenium calls them for your itinerary.

I’m guessing only open when on international waters so not going to be every day.

I can assure you that unless the ship is in port, casino will be open with one primary exception. On Alaska cruises when ships call at Victoria, when due to short distance between normal previous or upcoming ports of Vancouver or Seattle, ship is in Canadian or U.S. waters most of the evening between ports. Otherwise, between Alaskan ports, no problem.

On all our NCL Alaska cruises, the casino usually opened about 30 minutes after leaving a port, and was open when the ship was sailing between ports.  It closed for good before docking at Vancouver and did not open between Vancouver and Seattle.
