Rare babs135 Posted January 26, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2020 Just booked a week's cruise to the Caribbean on the Symphony. Are there any 'secrets' people are willing to share re the ship. Last time we sailed RC is 10 years ago!!

WI-Cruiser Posted January 26, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2020 Not really a secret but take advantage of the Solarium Bistro for Breakfast. Much less crowded than the Windjammer, especially early in the cruise. Starts to fill up more later in the cruise as more people become aware of it. Also a good option for dinner. You should make a reservation, but it's free. Nicer than having dinner in the Windjammer IMHO.

rakes5 Posted January 27, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2020 Also try the Solarium Bistro for dinner. The dinner is complementary, with a few upcharge items. You have to serve yourself, but the items are already plated, except for a few items. The flank steak was freshly sliced, and you can upgrade to lobster, or filet, for way less than any specialty restaurants. For example, the Filet was 9 oz, they said it was the same item served in Chops, and it was only a $12 (+ 18%) upcharge. You can make reservations, but on our recent B2B, we ate there once each week, and there were a lot of empty tables, so they take walkins.
