CruzinQs Posted January 29, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2020 We would like to travel from Naples port to Rome city center. We don’t want to take a train. Anyone hire a car before. Need suggestions on who to contact. Plus. Your ideas? Thank you
euro cruiser Posted January 30, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2020 Do you mean use a car service, with a driver, or rent a car and drive yourself? The former is certainly possible, for a price (in the 400 - 500 euro neighborhood). The later is also possible, for a lot less money, but comes with a different set of issues/challenges. slidergirl Posted February 1, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2020 Driving a rental car in city centers certainly does have it's challenges! Takes nerves of steel to drive in Rome. And there are sections of the city where you cannot drive without appropriate decals (like a locals or business). If you don't know what you are doing, you can easily get into one of these "ZTL" areas and get a nice 65EU ticket.
