Billdref Posted February 3, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2020 I am going TA in October, Rome to Ft Lauderdale. I have received various comments from folks that the weather can be anything from warm and sunny to cool/chilly. Would appreciate more comments. During the ‘at sea’ days, what activities are offered by Celebrity (Edge) in particular. I assume there will be shows in the evenings. All comments appreciated. Wisteria101958 Posted February 4, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2020 In the past and on other Celebrity ships, we were treated to exceptional guest speakers on the multiple sea days. Some folks are apprehensive about the volume of non port days, but I never got bored. My last TA included the prior 13 day sailing. Fellow passengers asked if I was ready to disembark after 27 days onboard. I assured them that I would still be dragging my feet down the gangway. Rare Jim_Iain Posted February 15, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2020 We have done about a dozen TA's. NO one can predict the weather but as a general rule - There are 3 major routes - Southern Crossing (South to the Canaries and then crossing), Mid-Atlantic (via Azores) and Norther Crossing. Southern Crossings are generally very smooth and warm after the Canaries Mid-Atlantic - Cool but generally smooth Northern - Usually cold and highest chance of really bed weather. I know these are all generalities but fairly reliable.
