Honk Kong - Macau

Hi ExBC,

It is very feasible and do-able.

The journey from HK to Macau takes only 55 min by Turbo Jet. Service is 24/7

Here is the link to their web site.

http://www.turbojet.com.hk/index.htm#

I do this all the time when I often go to HK.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

ExBC,

Check the visa requriements. As I understand it, you would need an extra entry on your Chinese visa, since you are leaving the Hong Kong special admin region and entering China proper. You then return to Hong Kong, leaving mainland China again.

Thanks Mike and DCollier,

The cruise we are going on is scheduled to start in Beijing than visit Nagasaki, Shanghai, Taipei and then HK. I believe it requires a multi-entry visa. Would a visa such as this be acceptable for Macau?

Hi ExBC,

Below please find link to Hong Kong Visa requirements, which I hope will help you.

http://www.immd.gov.hk/ehtml/hkvisas_4.htm

When I go to Hong Kong I do not require a visa. I am holding an USA passport. I am able to stay in HK for 90 days.

Also, if I decide to go to Macau while I am in Hong Kong, it is no problem. I pass through immigration at the Ferry Terminal and they stamp my passport as departed.

For me Macau is visa free. I just fill out the entry form and give it to the immigration officials.

But to be safe and sure, I recommend you check with the relative countries visa departments.

Have a great cruise.

This refers to leaving china and re entering having visited an other country.Holland america tells Ziere what visas you will need. We went from Hong Kong to Macau, and did not require a visa, this was in march of 2005. Hope this helps...happy sailing Alsas
