I haven't been to this island, we have a cruise booked for June on Carnival Liberty. Is it worth it to try to get a tour of the island?

I'm not sure you can leave the "compound"... will be there March 24th, we have a cabana so not going anywhere but I will ask.

I know you can go out side of it. There is a gate you go through and outside is locals selling stuff. Plus a tour offers tours for the cruise ships.
