OV on Getaway

I love the OV rooms when I sail alone.  I enjoy the extra space without the couch I never use and I love being on deck 5 as I am close to everything I enjoy on the ship.  However on my next cruise all I could get was a GTY OV and am concerned I will get a forward facing cabin.  Anyone been in those cabins that can reduce my concerns.  Besides being so far from elevators and stairs, is there any other negatives?

You have to keep your curtains closed at night. This is to keep any light from affecting the bridge as they navigate the ship at night.

You get all the noise that comes along with anchoring or docking.
