FranknBeans Posted February 12, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2020 That's very very considerate on the part of Princess. They usually only get their airfare covered when they finish their contract
Rare puppycanducruise Posted February 12, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2020 I think that's great that Princess is doing that for their employees. The crew deserves it.
GA Dave Posted February 12, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2020 I think it is commendable what Princess is doing for their employees. But, I also have to wonder how many will actually ever return to work on a cruise ship. Based on the YouTube reports from that ship, the nightmare they are going through would convince me to never step foot on a cruise ship again. Gershep Posted February 12, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2020 Princess has treated both the crew and passengers very well.
phillyguy31 Posted February 12, 2020 #6 Share Posted February 12, 2020 I think this is an excellent thing they are doing, however I wonder how many of these crew members will be needed after the quarantine is lifted for several reasons. 1 I can't imagine anyone wanting to cruise on that ship immediately after everyone debarks of for a while after. 2 I would think.....Hope that they would take several weeks to totally sanitize the ship using a special team not just crew members. 3 The ship will probably relocate if it finds a port that will take it. So the less aboard the better I think. Regardless, it is a real class move by Princess for it's employees and at least some good PR as well. roger001 Posted February 12, 2020 #8 Share Posted February 12, 2020 I thought the virus was only spread by person to person contact. If so, sanitizing the ship should not be extreme. The ship won’t be carrying the virus germs, if I understand it correctly.
