We will be on Celebrity Soltice on Bora Bora Oct 5, 2020. Wondering when the last tender would be. Our tour guide doing whale watching doesn't want us to return to port til 6. Does this work

Don't think you're going to get a definitive answer but it seems like with a 9pm departure time you should have plenty of time to make the last tender. My guess is that the last one would be 8:15-8:30pm. The pier at Vaitape is small and you'll probably return from whalewatching 50-100 feet from where the tender will meet you. As long as you're sure of the departure time of Solstice I'd book the tour. I'm a worry wart about making it back to the ship in time and I'd feel good about this. I've been whale watching in Moorea but never Bora Bora. Have a fantastic time!

We have tendered at Bora Bora three times on Celebrity ships.  Generally the last tender is scheduled to leave shore about 30 to 45 minutes before sailing time.  So with a 9 PM departure from Bora Bora there should be no issues with a whale watching tour which returns you to the pier at 6 PM.
