cloudninecat Posted March 1, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2020 (edited) Is it possible to get an extra key for another passenger that is not booked in your room? My daughter is going on a cruise with us in June 2021 on the Mardi Gras. She has an interior room and we will have a very nice excel suite room (that only allows 2 passengers). We'd like her to be able to enjoy the benefits of our balcony as our cabin guest and come and go in the room as she pleases so I wondered if it would be possible to get her, her own key to our cabin by going down to guest services or are we always going to have to be there to open the door for her? AQW Posted March 1, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2020 Yes, not a problem at all, just go to Guest Services. If the cabins are under the same booking number, they will do it without question. If hers is under a separate booking number, then an adult from *both* cabins must come to guest services to make the request.
n6uqqq Posted March 1, 2020 #3 Share Posted March 1, 2020 They will make you another entry card without questions and you don't need a person from each room. I have gotten my daughter a card to my balcony room many times because they get an interior across from me. Easy peasy. Now if you want to open a balcony partition then you will need a person from each room present.
cloudninecat Posted March 1, 2020 Author #4 Share Posted March 1, 2020 They are under a different booking number as we booked several months ago, but she just decided to go. Having us both go to guest services won't be a problem. Thanks. We've changed cabin keys before but never got an extra for a different cabin. richkinkade Posted March 1, 2020 #5 Share Posted March 1, 2020 She doesn't need to go with you. Guest services will make you an extra cabin key if you ask. I've done this several times, for the same reason you are doing it. Also, it makes it easier to send her for coffee and croissants in the morning. DanvilleCruiser Posted March 1, 2020 #6 Share Posted March 1, 2020 My sister and I both got an extra room key for my Mom’s room, as she wears hearing aids and we didn’t want to be banging on her door early in the morning when we came to take her to breakfast. We all three went down to Guest Services.
