NCL- Early Check-In & Pre-Pay Service Charges

Cruise is in June.   Is there any benefit to check-in early and/or prepay service charges?

When does the new pricing take effect.  I’m traveling in 3 weeks and heard about people getting a notice, but I haven’t gotten one.  Wondering if it’s after our cruise.  I haven’t prepaid the DSC
