travelinmama Posted March 5, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2020 I posted this a few days ago but think I worded it so that others didn't understand what my question really was. PLEASE do not refer to the cancellation policy on the site.. this is a question based on a recent article I saw. Just wondering if anyone else is familiar with this info? thanks (I called NCL and they had NO knowledge of it) https://www.travelagentcentral.com/cruises/norwegian-uniworld-update-change-policies-over-coronavirus
amyh13 Posted March 5, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2020 I have a friend booked on a cruise in July and I told her about this. She contacted her TA and said that she could delay her final payment but then told her if she canceled at the 90 day mark she would have to pay the normal penalty. That makes no sense to me but that is what she was told.
ronheg Posted March 6, 2020 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2020 I just cancelled my 6/28/20 cruise with no penalty. Must be done at least 90 before cruise.
babydaryl24 Posted March 6, 2020 #4 Share Posted March 6, 2020 Yes. Only works 90 days before cruise. They implemented this on 2/27. It was 88 days for me. So I missed it.
