Increase in Club Royale Points Requirement

Pardon if this has already been posted. I had no luck searching. 

 

This week on Oasis I see the points minimum to earn complimentary cruises has increased. I know during January they were lower as DH earned two and I earned one complimentary cruise for a minimum 2400 points.

That's the same card that was posted at the Casino Host's desk for my last few cruises. I know one of the fliers had said 2400, but that's not what was at the desk.

 

I finally did reach 25k in Jan, so I am now Prime and will get a free cruise after April.  I am in no rush to book as I have two others scheduled for near the end of the year that I, hopefully, will get to enjoy.

On our B2B2B Symphony sailings through the end of January they used the 2400, 3200, etc. that has been in place for a long time. On one of those cruises I only had 2416 points at the end of the week and got the free cruise. I was surprised to see the change on Oasis.

 

Yep, Prime is nice. Love getting our two (one each) free cruises each year!

100 points shouldn't be an issue

If u made 2400 to earn a free certificate. Why wouldn't you want to earn 2500 just to earn prime..

Just makes it easier to get both

I was on Ovation from Sydney last week and it's 4000 points for the instant free cruise.

Does anyone know what is the monetary equivalent of one point?  For example, $2.50 per point.  Thanks.

My understanding is that on the slots $5 equals 1 point.

Actually the point requirements are going down effective 4/1/2022.  I just got off the Oasis last week and my total points is now at 18,000 which will get me Signature level status after the point reduction on 4/1.  The new mark for Signature will be 15,000 instead of 25,000
