webzila Posted March 10, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2020 I have never waited until the actual due date to make the payment so just want to confirm that it's due by the end of the date given. Right? Just want to make sure that if due date is tomorrow March 11 that the reservation won't cancel as soon as March 10 is over and 11 starts 😉
klfrodo Posted March 10, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2020 There could be 2 Due dates One would be the one the cruiseline states. The other would be the one your travel agent states. The cruiseline will not cancel your cruise until their deadline rolls around. So, if it's March 11th, they wouldn't cancel until March 12th. (Now, is the cutoff date and time set by COB (Close of Business), or 23:59 (11:59PM)?? I don't know) The TA sets an earlier date sometimes to give them time to process all the paperwork or whatever and ensure they get the money to the cruiseline on time. webzila Posted March 10, 2020 Author #3 Share Posted March 10, 2020 Thanks. That's what I thought. I want to wait until the last minute. The cruise I have is $256 less than what I booked it for originally but it's impossible to reach anyone at Carnival right now. I booked straight through Carnival - no TA.
