Susan in Maine Posted March 11, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2020 Holy cow the cruise bargains are amazing! I know lots of people are cancelling their trips, but these bargains are really hard to turn down. Here's my question: My passport expired in February. (I know, I know - I'm kicking myself). If you need to fly home from The Bahamas, is a driver's license and birth certificate sufficient? Thanks!

Denverdonkeys Posted March 11, 2020 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2020 no, but the embassy would work with you if it was an emergency.
VitaLuna Posted March 11, 2020 #4 Share Posted March 11, 2020 No. (I’m always curious why Americans think they don’t have the same rules/requirements?) Like someone else said.. if there’s an emergency, the embassy can help get you home. Ex: you become injured/hospitalized while in port and become stranded.
