Russiamomm Posted March 24, 2020 #53 Share Posted March 24, 2020 I cancelled two weeks ago tomorrow. I had cancelled the extras prior to cancelling the cruise itself. So far the CN cents have need reposted to my account but I have no cc credit for the extras an no FCC showing on my account. TA said it can take up to two weeks. If I don’t see anything by Wednesday I will ask the TA to call NCL. Question for those that have gotten their FCC. How does this show on your NCL account? Is it in your profile like the CNs? Also, I had used a $475 casino credit to help pay for the cruise. Will that be refunded with a new expiration date?

We were assured that the credit would appear on our credit card within 7-10 working days. Ncl has still not processed our credit. I suggest that anyone waiting for their credit, dispute the charge. I disputed too on my credit card...had cancelled on 3.6.
robins11 Posted March 24, 2020 #55 Share Posted March 24, 2020 I cancelled our cruise, (May 8th Getaway, from Civitavecchia), on 6th March and was assured my refund would be credited to my credit card within 7 to 10 working days. This I did by calling the reservations team in the UK. By Friday 20th, that is 10 working days no sign of the refund, so I spoke again with the UK team and was assured that the refund was due for payment that day. Well it showed up in full on my credit card account 23rd March and had been processed as promised on the 20th, that is 10 working days. Given the pressure that team are under with calls, the two agents I spoke with were really helpful and reassuring. I am also relieved too !! hopstepper Posted March 24, 2020 #56 Share Posted March 24, 2020 I cancelled on 17th March for a cruise in May 2020. I got my fare and taxes refunded on 20th March and my excursions refunded on 22nd March.
Petoonya Posted March 24, 2020 #57 Share Posted March 24, 2020 Oceania is owned by NCL and I think will be processed the same way. They cancelled my April 16 cruise on March 12. My TA requested the refund on March 13 and thought it would be two weeks before I saw it. Now I hear from others with the same cruise cancelled that it will be more like 90 days. I think that since Oceania is so small it could be spun off by NCL and we may never see a refund. Normally I'd say thank heaven for travel insurance, but since some companies have requested a bailout who knows what to expect.
GOTTODOIT Posted March 24, 2020 #58 Share Posted March 24, 2020 We were on B2B cruises and both have been cancelled, 27th Feb and 18th March, still waiting on any refund. Rang NCL and advised that refunds could take up to 90 days to process.
haiyez22 Posted March 24, 2020 #59 Share Posted March 24, 2020 Canceled my thermal spa pass and two prepaid shore excursions on 3/9. Was told they’d be back on my card within 7–10 business days. Still nothing. Will dispute the charge with AMEX if I don’t get the credit by Thursday.

My impatience got the best of me and I disputed the charge with AMEX. Got an email from AMEX within a couple of hours saying they’ve credited my account for the disputed amount.

Email from NCL clearly says money going back to my amex and visa which I have not received yet. The POM was I believe started from 3/12 cancellations.. My cruise was for June 7 2020 .. I think thats where your confusion is.. my cancellation date is 3/6 for a June cruise.

babydaryl24 Posted March 27, 2020 Author #67 Share Posted March 27, 2020 Some of you just keep trying to find a loophole to argue or be smarter or have a one up on someone................................. I cancelled on 3/10. Not with POM. I was told 7 to 10 business days. Still waiting. I was told maybe a week longer when I called.

BuckeyeMan Posted March 27, 2020 #69 Share Posted March 27, 2020 (edited) My cruise was cancelled 3-13 for a Hawaii cruise that was paid in full but was 5 days prior to full paymen date. Reservation made with TA. Received an email at that time stating refund would be applied by 7-10 business days. Still have not seen any refund. Will check with TA on Monday if no refund shows up by that time. That would be the 11th business day. Edited March 27, 2020 by BuckeyeMan
Sand and Seas Posted March 27, 2020 #70 Share Posted March 27, 2020 I called and asked for refund of my pre-paid DSC on March 9th. Was told 7-10 business days to show back up on my card. Still waiting for it now.
Tom_3777 Posted March 27, 2020 #71 Share Posted March 27, 2020 I cancelled my prepaid gratuities on 3/9. They said 7-10 days will be refunded to credit card I still don’t see it it’s 3/27 today I’m frustrated with NCL. I called multiple times and they said a lot of people are cancelling there refund department is slower then usual and told me they can’t do nothing to process it faster. Then I was told to wait a few more weeks. I’m pissed!
fjg473 Posted March 27, 2020 #72 Share Posted March 27, 2020 I cancelled my prepaid charges and extra internet package on 3/9. They told me 7 to 10 business days. Still nothing. Called them on Wednesday and they said it’s still pending and they’re just behind. I’m really annoyed. This is supposed to be our first cruise ever going from ny to Bermuda may 17th. Just praying for a cancellation so i can get my cash back. Not planning to try to cruise agin for a very long time if ever. Don’t want a credit because I’m unsure if I’ll ever use it tbh.
mnsweeps Posted March 27, 2020 #73 Share Posted March 27, 2020 NCL has been the absolute worst in how they are treating their customers.. remember this when everything gets back to normal. US govt should not help them in anyway. 1
BuckeyeMan Posted March 27, 2020 #74 Share Posted March 27, 2020 Mine is for an entire Hawaii cruise for 2 people, air, 2 nights hotel prior. So a large sum. Very upset at this time.
mano2020 Posted April 1, 2020 #75 Share Posted April 1, 2020 My NCL cruise to the Bahamas March 22-29 from NYC was cancelled by them on March 13, 2020. I was told I couldn't even apply for a refund until March 23. The link they sent me originally did not work, so I had to call on the 24th and they send a new link if you want a refund...They said it would be 90 days from the date I applied. So they have already had my money for 4 months and they will have it for another 90, interest free... Multiply this by the thousands and thousands of customers waiting on refunds, and that a huge amount of interest we are losing...and what about the poor souls that paid by credit card and are making monthly payments...I'm sure there are many in that boat. NCL has lost me as a customer, and I'm certain many others...I'm also certain they don't give a sh##
