No Show policy

If 1 person who was in a booking of 3, decides to be a no show, what, if any, are the issues.

The "no show person" is whom the offer and booking was booked under.

Cheers would be purchased on board, but would they actually count the "no show" as a guest and the remaining 2 passengars be required to buy 3 cheers packages?

Or can cheers be purchased ahead of time and then "no show" get a refund of the purchased amount for Cheers.

Depends on the offer.

My son decided last minute he did not want to go on our trip. Just go down to guest services after the ship leaves port and tell them the 3rd person didn't show up. You will be out the ticket cost but they will remove the port fees and taxes

I wonder if they would remove the person from the stateroom listing too, that way we could still buy cheers, but only for the 2 people who showed up.

That I cannot answer for sure( my son was under 21 at the time) but if the 3rd passenger is not listed as being on the ship I would think you would be able to get it for the 2 that are present.

If it is a casino offer and the person that is receiving the offer is a no show, I’m pretty sure the booking would be cancelled or you would have to reimburse.

I’d call the player’s club to be sure.

That is what I am worried about.  But not sure how Carnival can "cancel" the booking once we are already boarded on the ship.  I know we will be out the 1st persons fare.  I was hoping someone on this board had this scenario happen and could provide some advice.

I ended up finally getting through to Carnival customer service.  I may call back a few more times to make sure the answer is consistent.

If the NO Show passengar is the one who the rate applied to, and doesnt show up, nothing happens to the other guests in the booking.  The taxes + port charges would be refunded + and ANY prepurchased excursions, Funshops AND Cheers.

You need to contact the Casino Department, not the general call center.  While they may not cancel the booking, they may remove all the extras.

Im not concerned about the extras, as this offer is specifically just a reduced fare (and not the "DOU + FunPlay).
