What are the pros and cons on the Queen Victoria?

We have sailed Queen Victoria several times. We started Britannia and unfortunately the standards and food quality have slowly continued to fall. We moved ever since to Princess Grill, the fare is of course much higher but the food on repeated cruises has been very good with excellent choices if you prefer to eat off the a la carte. The big difference is the quality of meats, the service and of course the private deck, Afternoon tea served in the Princess Grill so no Long queues in the Queens Room. We have also been Queens Grill twice but find for some reason that the Princess Grill suits us better though the Princess Suite is smaller. In addition you have the service of a Concierge and a private lounge that serves hot drinks free most of the day. The extra comfort and enjoyment we believe is more than worth it. Britannia Club allows you to eat open sitting times and avoid the Canteen feeling eating in the Britannia Restaurant with approx 800 plus people per sitting.

While I think QG is worth every penny, I think the PG cabins on QV are so long, dark, and narrow, they are really not worth the extra. You don't get any feeling of extra spaciousness over Britannia. On QM2, it is a different story, where they are a square shape. My choice would be between QG, with its lovely large cabins, and Club, with all the benefits of leisurely and spacious dining. Yes, you miss out on the Grills Terrace, which is lovely, but it is usually easy enough to find a nice space on the open decks.

My DW and I enjoy the last half dozen times enjoy the pre-grill experience of the Club Britannia.

What attracted us also to use the Club status is the convenience of the their Dining Room. The same table for all the seating's and the open timing for one seating dinner serving besides the other perks.

One day we will get the opportunity to experience the Princess Grill and all it offers..
