techteach Posted May 11, 2023 #3402 Share Posted May 11, 2023 The sun has finally arrived in Seattle and we will reach 70 degrees today. Cruise season is well underway with lots of ship horns blasting away between 4:00 and 5:00 each night. The market is packed with people pulling carry-on luggage and gasping at the cost of morel mushrooms. The windows of the house are covered in plastic due to new house paint and the yard is filled with deck furniture as we prepare to replace the deck. I hope everyone has a great day.

We should have been on her two weeks ago out to New York but I had decided months ago to skid that one out to July to use up airline vouchers. That was a stroke of luck.
Rare D&N Posted May 12, 2023 #3406 Share Posted May 12, 2023 Carmel has been doing quite well recently. From a low of 2.45kg last September, she's been over 3kg since Christmas. The biggest ongoing problem has been her teeth and gums, which often give her problems when eating. It's a common problem with siamese' and orientals. On that basis a specialist dental vet agreed she was fit to have her teeth extracted on Tuesday. They wanted to keep her overnight. Since she got back she's gradually managed to drink then late this afternoon ate of her own accord. I'd been syringing water in her mouth and smearing food on finger while she hadn't plucked up courage to eat or drink herself. Our local vet injected fluids this morning as well. Hopefully the gamble on the extractions will make eating easier for her in her remaining life. The photo was 12 days ago.

Hi, Many years ago - bc - before Covid - I used to be a regular cruise critic communicator - my name was - is ? Romantica However, I booked a cruise on Cunard on the Queen Victoria - starting in Hamburg on the 25th of July and can‘t find a Roll Call! It is only for 9 days - to Kiel🤔 This was ever the best way to team up and share tours, trips and informations. Any suggestions how to go about it - again? Rare D&N Posted May 21, 2023 #3415 Share Posted May 21, 2023 The little family from the neighbouring town. Child #3 is behind mummy's right wing in the last pic. Our local pair have 5 cygnets this year, but only daddy was at the river mouth today.

Rare NE John Posted May 23, 2023 #3423 Share Posted May 23, 2023 Just now, techteach said: Yum! It must have been good since the bottle is empty. 🙂 Eight of us partook in bringing this one down. Just enough for everyone to get seconds. Our friend not only brought this great treat but also impeccably clean and proper glassware to serve. He wanted everything just right.
Rare D&N Posted May 28, 2023 #3424 Share Posted May 28, 2023 Our local council pays for this team of gardeners to visit various less accessible corners of the town to control vegetation.
