Carnival vs Celebrity

Recommended Posts

Many Carnival, one Celebrity.

Pro Carnival

midnight comics (mostly, I do not like the f-bombs from some of them)

on deck games

bartenders faster with drink orders

nightlife (lasted longer then Celebrity, which was dead after 10pm)

Pro Celebrity

fewer children and teens running wild (can you tell I am getting old?)

afternoon movies in the theater

more space in the buffet

the sliding door vs Carnival's hinged door to the balcony

About the same

main dining room

cabin service

excursions

embark / disembark process

Next cruise is Carnival

I’ll disagree with you on 2 points

- midnight comics - playing to a smaller room with wall to wall people is not my cup of tea (I shouldn’t have to work that hard to see a comic but it seems like just a hassle.  And the F bombs means they’re just not that funny

- main dining room - I much prefer Celebrity’s 4 smaller main dining rooms on the Edge than the large dining room you generally find on Carnival . Food seemed better, service was spectacular and they Celebrity waits until you’re done your meal before they take the dessert order

Like the other poster above said .... prices are amazingly comparable if Cheers is included. My booking on the new Apex was a good deal. 4 people, balcony, one week in April 2022, two premium drink packages, prepaid tips for two, WiFi , $300OBC - $4076. Really, there wasn’t another line that could beat that package and most were higher all things apples to apples. I did book this 4 months ago so pricing may have gone up.

enjoy the trip
