Magic carpet on Apex

I have just booked the new ship Apex and we as offered stateroom 7190 

I have just remembered about this magic carpet. Where does it go up and down, it looks like it will block light from some staterooms and it’s wide roof with also shield sun. I know the Edge has the same 

could you give me your reviews and which cabins are involved. Would I be better off  on Port side

If the  a in #s are the same on the Apex as the Edge it is listed at 15% obstructed.

IMO The problem isnt the MC as much as it is that the staterooms 2 doors away jut out and will limit visibility.  If you can move farther away from the jut out it would be better visibility.  I wouldn’t worry about the MC  causing shade as your veranda is enclosed so little direct sun.

Of course, you can book a port side cabin and not have to worry about the MC.
