Name of the new Genesis Class Ship

Considering that it will more than likely be based in the Caribbean year round, RCI will get priority docking at the ports of call. It may mean that some of cruise lines get knocked out of docking but so be it. After all we are Royal Caribbean. Is there really any other cruise line???;) :D

Slightly off topic, but we saw the Crystal Symphony tendering into St. Maarten last week while RCCL Jewel and Empress, plus Norwegian Jewel and SeaDream Yacht II were at the pier. I'm glad I didn't pay top dollar on Crystal and then have to tender! Ha ha ha!

Wouldn't the first in this class just be called Genesis of the Seas? Like they have in the past? Voyager, Freedom, Radiance, Sovereign etc?

The only one I think doesn't fit that pattern was the Vision class.

I know, that's probably the boring answer, LOL.......

Yep. I would think that it will be called Genesis. Nothing else would make sense.

Or perhaps more fittingly, "Pinnacle of the Seas":D

Maybe they should be even more daring and drop the designation "of the seas" and open up a whole new realm of possibilities.;)

I'm diggin Pinnacle of the Seas. I like that a lot.

on your second comment, though....I don't think that RCI will be removing the "of the seas" from their names. After all....they just got done renaming Nordic Empress to make all of the ships the same.

I think it should be called Miracle of the seas.:D (because it is so damn big it is a miracle it will still float.)

On a more serious note good names in my opinion would be:

Emerald of the Seas

Saphhire of the Seas

Ruby of the Seas

Princess of the Seas

How about Destination of the Seas. Since there will be few ports it could dock at, it could be considered a destination in itself. Too big for me!

You know that old expression, "It's not the size that counts. It's the motion of the ocean." It can also apply to cruiseships. I personally think someone is getting carried away designing these behemoths.

Pinnacle is the name of Carnival's newbuild project, I believe (not the name of the first ship, but the project). Pinnacle is also the name of the speciality restaurant on Holland America ships.

Sapphire and Diamond are already Princess ship names, of course.

Seems like lots of the good names are taken already. How about a series of music-related names? We already have Serenade, so how about:

Cadence of the Seas

Concerto of the Seas

Medley of the Seas

Nocturne of the Seas

Rhythm of the Seas

Sonata of the Seas

Tempo of the Seas
