Redeployment, Charter or Goodwill OBC will carry over to new reservation

Recommended Posts

This is great news for anyone with OBC that is not promotional OBC.

What will happen to my client’s onboard credit, now that their sailing is cancelled?
Any CEL Future Cruise / RCI Next Cruise / AZA Cruise Again onboard credits will be re-applied to your client’s future reservation. Additionally, if your client has an onboard credit as a result of a redeployment, charter, or other goodwill gesture, it can carry over to their future reservation; however, if your client cancels, the onboard credit will be forfeited. Any promotional onboard credit will not be protected; Upon rebooking, your clients can take advantage of the promotional offer available in market at that time.

So, if they canceled my cruise and it had a $300 OBC from booking the cancelled cruise while onboard a cruise, it can be moved to a future booking?  I only ask because I was told that the rate I booked my new cruise at is not combinable with any other promos so I won’t be able to transfer that OBC to the new booking.

Redeployment OBC is not subject to the combinability rules.   It certainly sounds like the OBC you received falls under the category of OBC that is movable.
