Mediterranean Odyssey?

We hope to do the VO Mediterranean Odyssey cruise in 2021 or 2022 and are wondering when would be the best time to be in that area.  Looking at September or October (or spring if that would be better).  September looks rather warm and October may have more rain.  What month would you recommend?  Thanks!

We did April 21/ May 3 and the weather was great.  No rain.  Wind breaker mornings and great afternoons.

We also did it in April, and the weather was nice.  Similar to Dauntless, we had very little rain.  The rain (twice) actually occurred overnight while we were in transit.  We only needed a light jacket for the morning & sun screen for the afternoon.   JohnEB2

October in the eastern Mediterranean can see some storms.  We did a last of the season Venice - Istanbul - Venice, many people commented on how fortunate we were.  One rollicking storm, one day, and that was it. Gorgeous weather, 70s much of the time, brilliant sunshine in the islands.

In the past, Celebrity would finish the eastern Med by the third week of October.

Any info on what weather to expet in early October?  Thanks.

Oct 16-28, 2018 Mediterranean Odyssey we could not leave Civitavecchia (Rome) port due to high winds even with tugboat.

Missed Naples. Only had rain on the last day from the people-mover, over the bridge to the train station.  We took the "airport train" to Rome for a direct flight back. Best train I've ever been on (so far).
