canwegonow Posted May 23, 2020 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2020 Can FCC be used for items besides the actual cruise fare? For example, if I rebook using FCC but don't need it all to cover the new cruise, can I use the remainder to cover tips? What about drink packages or shore excursions? I assume it can't be used in the casino, but otherwise, what are the rules?

The future cruise, gratuities, taxes/fees/port expenses, and Vacation Protection plan can all be covered then the rest will be refunded. That's what was done with my FCC atleast. You cant use FCC for anything else. The OBC can be used for drink packages, excursions, etc... but they must be purchased while on board.
firefly333 Posted May 23, 2020 #3 Share Posted May 23, 2020 From what I hear if fcc left over and converted to obc. Once onboard could be used for anything. My new cruise, seems prices are up, I owe them lol. Only had one cancelled, wish I had a few others with all that obc.
aaconsumer55 Posted May 24, 2020 #4 Share Posted May 24, 2020 Keep in mind that if you were on a cruise that was cancelled and you opted for the FCC option, you get FCC equal to the cancellation fee. The rest of what you paid (inc 100% of port fees and taxes) is refunded to original form of payment...unless you ask Carnival to apply all/part to a future cruise

Asked for fees and taxes from canc cruise to be applied to new cruise. Transferred it all over ... prices just went up so I still owe.
