Rum cake

We bought a choc rum cake in Bermuda. My family just opened it today. They were not impressed. Said store brand choc cake mix is better than that.

 

Everyone has always raved about Bermuda rum cakes. I guess to each his own.

The regular rum cake has always been my favourite and I too have never been that impressed with the chocolate one.

 

At the Rum Cake place in Dockyard they let you sample the different types they have. If you ever come back to Bermuda I'd suggest going there to get a rum cake, that way you can taste it beforehand.

Maybe, we got the wrong flavor. Will have to try some new ones. The dockyard is where our ship was docked and bought the rum cake there.

The banana flavored rum cake is my favorite.

Last time I was there, you could sample them in the St. George store also.

I have always sampled them in the St. George shop. The ladies in there are just so nice and friendly. I've tried them all, but the banana still wins.
