The ship must be a bit more empty by today. Some German TAs and others have left today.

Will it be hard to find a quiet place to relax on the ship if it’s full? There doesn’t appear to be a lot of seating for 3000 passengers.

Hard to say. Wait until the first full sailings.

i like the Buffett food at ncl. The food at the surfside is amazing, I really like the food there. Pizza is Great, the Asian food great, the spare ribs today perfect, the popcorn shrimps tacos great.
But I like the surfside at Place itself not so much. Loud and not so enjoyable.

and I think sadly no crepes station.

This ship looks VERY large - I'm a smaller ship gal.  I will enjoy the beauty I'm sure and I'm on her for the itinerary.  I will keep an open mind about the size of this ship.

She is actually just about in the middle of the fleet size-wise.

Hi everyone,

The Prima is scheduled to arrive in NYC the evening of 10/5 and won't officially set sail with passengers until 10/10 (yes, I'm booked to be on that sailing!).

Does anyone know what the ship will be doing for those 5 days in between?  I suspect it will be tours for media and travel agents.  I would love to get photos of the ship with the NYC skyline in the background.

The cruise mapper schedule doesn't show any activity for the ship during that window.  Is there another site that may show more ship movement details?

So far my only cruising experience has been 21 days on the huge Escape and Bliss ships.  I'll report back after the short Bermuda sailing from NYC next month on how Prima compares!

There is a lot of seating and sun loungers. Especially on deck 8. The pool deck is comparably small but there are more sun decks up there with pretty nice areas.

Plus figure that a good number of the passengers are Haven and they have there own areas.  Probably wouldn’t be caught dead sitting with the rest of us LOL

if you want do work with weights that is your place ( not huge, but I think ok ) , sorry for bad picture was a short moment with no people  and I did walking while picturing. But walking machines are a lot.

who is in charge for the ncl merchandising?   Ncl wants to make money with everything but is doing such a bad job with the merchandising.

thermal spa

entrance are the stairs. Behind  the glass front at the right second level it is the way to the gym. You can watch down from there when you walk to the gym.

The mens locker room  is very small, that is all ( only shower and restrooms are more there )

seems here bigger, but I had problems with my shoes. Better to come ready for spa. But I came direct from

the gym.

dark gangway with saunas and steam rooms. Reminds me of the spa at the msc seaside. That was a dark hole ( mostly everything other I love at the seaside ship itself but the spa not)

so sad you can’t go out , at the msc seaside is this part of the Yachtclub lounge to sit outside. ( at the seaside it is a little bigger ) . They should change that at least at the next ships.

Vero Water is a partner on Regent and Oceania already. There you get a bottle which you can refill at several stations. I was surprised to see a Vero Water station in the gym. And I have only a few bad photos of the gym too as even at 6:30 am it was already crowded!!!

They ran out of the ship models on day 2 or so... I only saw two of the in a showcase in front of the shop and then they were gone. The only item I liked was the mug in the hull design (but I already have all my mugs in my cupboard - no pun intended Steff ;-)).

The women´s changing room isn´t larger either... there´s only a tiny bench to sit down and redress. I had to wait as it was blocked by two other ladies. The way to my locker was blocked too (by those two ladies). It took them a while to realize that I was waiting for them to get out. There´s a bin for used towels underneath the shelves with the robes. But there is no bin for the used robes... The Thermal Suite is lacking hooks. No place to hang up your robe or towel. I saw the robes hanging on a piece of art or thrown over those yellow thingies warning you that it might be slippery.

yes that is a problem what they should fix.

i needed some minutes but I think I like the spa with some minus.

here a pic with the spint and my shoe problem. And I have not the biggest shoes. If the shoes are only at the front the door is not closing.

Any idea which day they are sailing out of NYC and the time?

I'm happy to have found out that the Prima will be sailing out of NY Harbor at 4PM on 10/6 for their private cruise.  I'll be set up on Staten Island (if the weather cooperates) to get good photos of her as she goes by.

It will be a bit harder for me to get a ship photo of the next sailing on 10/10 cause I'll be on board!

🤣🤣 I had my swimsuit underneath a very light weight dress. So all I had to put into the locker was the dress. I wore my Crocs flip flops so no shoes to store.

What time does the gym open each morning? There’s no jogging track, so the gym will be busy on a full ship.
