Taxi Cost to Cane Garden Bay

Does anyone know the cost of taxi's to Cane Garden Bay? Are they per person charges or one fee? How readily available are they by the dock and then when you are ready to leave the beach? Thanks for the help!

Hi,

We paid $6 per person. It was an open sided bus. fantastic ride to the beach. the driver will ask everyone what time they want to come back, so you kind of sort it out that way. there will be loads of other people from the ship so you should be able to get back no problem.

 

Its a lovely beach, i'd definitely recommend it.

Try thr Roti while your there (if you are there long enough) it was so good!

A Roti is a tortilla like bread folded and filled with a mixture that usually is made up of curried vegetables, potatos and some type of meat such as chicken, goat or fish. Delicious.

Cane Garden is lovely and again going. Saw no kids but was a bit rough though.

I was reading some posts about water condition being not "healthy" as waste from yachts nearby... thus locals didn't use this beach.

Perhaps that is old info?

Feedback please.

Also is this beach more for adults, or would it be ok for teens, any activities like waverunners or snorkeling condition?

CGB is a family beach, fine for all ages. There is some snorkeling at the far western end but it is not known for good snorkeling. The water "quality" debate has gone on as long as I have been going there and yes, locals DO use the beach.
