monsterl Posted September 9, 2020 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2020 I just got this email from MSC UK: "Dear Guest, Firstly we hope you and your family are well, and despite the challenging circumstances of this year, you are safe and healthy. We are writing to you with regards to your cruise onboard MSC Magnifica. Following a difficult year, we’re sure you are very much looking forward to your cruise holiday next year on board the MSC Magnifica as it returns to the UK for a second full season sailing from Southampton. We are incredibly excited and look forward to sharing all that the ship has to offer with you. With four restaurants, two pools and 1,200 seat theatre, that will feature a different show every night of your cruise we are sure that you will not be disappointed. As well as all the great facilities onboard the MSC Magnifica, we will be back with all the ‘Best of British’ favourites that our guests have come to love on ships sailing out of the UK. From tea, coffee and kettles in cabins to English breakfast items and roast dinners in the buffet, combined with the European flavours and atmosphere we’re already famous for. For those guests sailing with families, our award winning Children’s Clubs will offer a wide range of activities and experiences for you all to enjoy together in a safe, fun environment. Due to the consequences generated by the Coronavirus pandemic, we have been forced to make some changes to the scheduled refurbishment programme for MSC Magnifica and we have decided to postpone the work to a later date. Due to this decision, we will be adding to your booking £50.00 on board credit per cabin. We look forward to welcoming you on board MSC Magnifica in 2021." JP82 Posted September 9, 2020 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2020 What's interesting to me, is that they obviously based booking availability on what would have been the new layout with new cabin numbers. So does this mean that none of Magnifica's Southampton Sailings sold so well that they need to cancel anyone?
