If my April 2021 cruise is cancelled...do I assume that all my onboard credits are also gone?

If Carnival cancels the cruise, you lose any obc they’ve given you for previously cancelled cruises. The obc doesn’t carry over.

It will be gone but maybe they will offer OBC for the next cruise you rebook.

I've had three cruises cancelled.  In my experience, I have lost any OBC given as a promo for booking a cruise and promos for rebooking the cruise.  If Carnival repeats previous offers, when they cancel a cruise they will offer an OBC to rebook the cruise.  All offers on cancelled cruise, including special rates, are completely cancelled.  The rebooked cruise will need to be rebooked with a new offer.
