Pre Purchased Bar Credits?

I saw on another board that you can buy pre purchased bar credits from Carnival. Just wondering if Royal Caribbean does anything like that - I didn't see anything on their website.

I have never seen a bar credit option. You can pre-purchase wine delivered to your cabin or dining table. Or you can prepurchase onboard credit dollars that can be used for anything. Just call the Gifts and Gear number and let them know you would like to pre-pay $100 or whatever amount to your onboard account and you'll be set.

They don't do that anymore. Years ago you could get coupons which included the cost of the drink plus tip at a reduced cost. Pre-paying on your S&S card only gives them the money sooner. Using a credit-card that has bonus incentives (miles, cashback etc) and pay after the cruise is a better deal.

thanks! I saw that Carnival's included the drink, tax and gratuity for about $5 / drink and thought it was a great deal. Too bad RCCL doesn't have it.

I just put money on my seapass card in advance. For instance for my upcoming enchantment cruise I just called and put another $100 down so now when I get on board I already have a $200 credit waiting for me. Helps with the shock at the end, lol

You can pre-pay your sea pass, which is essentially the same thing. My partner's birthday was before our Navigator cruise and folks gave him onboard credit as presents. It worked out really well. You just call the Gifts and Gear number and he got all these little cards from friends the first day of the cruise. It was great.
