People wearing masks, distancing, reduced occupancy which brings some reduced amenities. Pretty much all hotels and resorts in Cancun, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres are all open and have been for some time. From a US perspective, it is time to end the nonsense and reopen. If you are in fear of Covid, get the vaccine. If you are in fear of both, lock yourself in your home and don't leave until YOU are ok. Don't make the rest of us to suffer. Exactly, THANK YOU!
Rare HBCcruiser Posted March 19, 2021 Author #27 Share Posted March 19, 2021 ANOTHER interesting twist to the cruising story - Royal Caribbean joins Crystal in cruising out of the Bahamas (Nassau) - skipping US ports and CDC requirements. Mexico is also trying to attract the cruise lines. If the US doesn’t wake up, they will be bypassed and their ports will lose money. IMO People from the US don’t really cruise to enjoy US Ports (other than Alaska). They cruise to enjoy the islands and warm climates. https://www.royalcaribbeanpresscenter.com/press-release/1507/royal-caribbean-marks-2021-return-to-caribbean-with-cruises-from-the-bahamas/
Rare Mary229 Posted March 19, 2021 #28 Share Posted March 19, 2021 My next cruise is out of Fort Lauderdale, I would gladly hop over to Bahamas to leave, I would actually consider it a bonus. If the US and Canada don’t want our money, Bahamas here I come

USA population: 330+ million Canada population: 37+ million You're right it does.
