ODYSSEY Casino offer

From talking to the host this last cruise there is a different point system and she mentioned it takes longer to get to prime. Probably because of the limited number of sailings Royal currently offers out of AP region.

I was given prime as a match to my US account from before moving to Singapore and it was unclear if I’d earn “points” while sailing here.

Why would you not earn points here though? You're still playing while sailing.

TBH our last cruise was a comped 4 night on the Navigator in March 2020 that my husband actually never set foot in the casino. The Royal cruise before that was in Nov/Dec 2019 was a 16night Suez Canal cruise on the Jewel ot Seas which he earned 10,080 points. I don't remember what cabin category the certificate was but I remembered more than half of the cruises listed on the certificate were past and we never used the value of the certificate since we get so many other offers. That's the problem taking a cruise at the end of the year, the certificate had cruise dates I think only through March of the following year.

Thanks for the info. I think you earned a free JS on the 16 night cruise. I pretty sure it’s 8000 points.
I keep booking free cruises as they send them. Maybe that’s why I’m now only getting offers for free OV or IN.

We currently have several newly booked comped cruises. A JS on the Symphony for Feb 2022; we applied $1,000 to a Christmas cruise from Bayonne on the Anthem. We still have a comped Canada NE cruise in October that we booked pre-pandemic that Royal hasn't canceled. We also booked a comped cruise on the Celebrity Edge for the 2nd half of October.

Finally we booked a comped cruise on the new Carnival Mardi Gras for next April. The great thing about that cruise is it was from a cancelled comp cruise which we received an additional $600 OBC. Carnival's casino comped cruises always requires a non- refundable deposit that you actually get back in OBC. I guess because you're actually putting down money besides the Port fees and taxes these cruises qualified for additional OBC if the cruise is cancelled. So we made out great on that!
