travelgals Posted February 16, 2006 #28 Share Posted February 16, 2006 We've been on sailings from NYC and FLA--all bound for Caribbean: HAL and Cunard--no difference in attire. I have heard that crossings tend to be more formal--due to weather and daytime activities (crossings are days at sea, cruises stopping at beachy ports mean shorts with swimsuits), but evenings on all our trips have adhered to dress code--daytime tends to be very informal in very warm weather.
