Disney Wonder visiting PROGRESO, Mexico

I noticed that the Disney Wonder, this spring (2021) has sailed to PROGRESO, Mexico, then to Freeport, and then back to PROGRESO.  Any idea what that is about?  Picking up crew?  Or maybe testing out the sailing time to PROGRESO to see if it would be a viable new port?

I'm just curious here.  I figure DCL wouldn't spend the money on fuel for these trips without some good reason.

Progresso is an interesting port.  Pier is around 3 miles offshore with free (tip) buses into town.  Easy to get to major ruins from this port, much closer than from Cozumel and doesn't need ferry rides.  Still 1.5-2 hours each way but Uxmal is almost as large as Chichen Itza and no crowds.  Smaller sites are much closer. Probably cheaper for cruise line as well, since not as busy a port.
