greg randall Posted February 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2006 to play the "wheel of fortune" slot machine in the camel club casino, they will be a winner. The reason i say that you have to have guts is because you may drop 3-4 hundred bucks before you get the big payoff spin..your first few will be for 40 bucks or so and it will drive ya wacky, but if you hang in there you will get paid. i watched all week and saw a few people drop about 3 hundred and give in. the next guy invariably hit it big. crosj Posted February 14, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Interesting because a couple of years ago I hit the $1000 on the wheel on the NCL Sun for a total of 5 times. Came home with more then I went up with. Great vacation.

yogimax Posted February 14, 2006 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Do those who have lost $$$ ever post? For every winner, there are countless losers! In the long run, the only ones who come out ahead are the casinos (or cruise lines).

I don't even bother to play anymore....I just go in and hand the casino manager my money and then go back to the lido deck. Saves time for other activities;) :D

jakieemma Posted February 14, 2006 #13 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Casino slots are a suckers bet. Yes they are fun...of course I play a little. But they are unregulated and a hit is NEVER due. ;)
BrendaB1 Posted February 15, 2006 #14 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Is this a quarter machine or a dollar machine? Wheel of Fortune on ships is usually $1 machines. It hits on Miracle too. :D

Wendy hit 150.00 on the first spin. 3 dollars... On the Spirit lots of people were winning on wheel of fortune. One lady hit the Jackpot on the last day. Eliot Ness Posted February 15, 2006 #18 Share Posted February 15, 2006 On the Holiday back in 04 it was a $1 machine as it was last summer on the Victory. I didn't play it on the Holiday, but one afternoon on the Victory I quietly slipped in a C note and didn't even get one bonus spin! The next day I hit $450 on a different machine, but I'll stay away from the WOF, or at least limit myself to just a few spins. John
iluvdoxies Posted February 15, 2006 #19 Share Posted February 15, 2006 wof- I've seen both quarter and dollar. My husband won 750.00 once on a dollor one, putting in one 20.00 bill. !
gypsyrose Posted February 15, 2006 #20 Share Posted February 15, 2006 I usually drop 800.00 at the casino. Yes its lost money but Im having fun  Wow!! Guess the nickel slots don't quite pay out much do they? I will probably only allot maybe $20 a day for entertainment. We are not gamblers so we'll just put some in the nickel slots and hope to win maybe our $20 back. Wish I had the guts and the $$$ to bet big like you guys :)

We enjoy the casino as well and know that what we lose in $$$ is made up in fun that we have had. Human nature is interesting though and many folks have the perception that they come out ahead when in actuality they do not. Over the years we have lost money on the slots but won it back by investing in gaming stocks!:)
greg randall Posted February 15, 2006 Author #23 Share Posted February 15, 2006 i happened to come out with a plus of 80 bucks on this cruise..i put in a twenty on a slot and on my second pull i made 777 and cashed out. i did see one woman sit at the wfo machine every nite..she won about 4 grand, but i bet she lost 5..i have never seen so many hundreds go into a machine...she had 2000 credits and did not cash out...huh
moonvine Posted February 15, 2006 #24 Share Posted February 15, 2006 I only play positive expectation video poker machines, and there aren't any on cruise ships, so I stay out of the cruise ship casinos.:D If I lost $800 in the cruise ship casino - that is a whole nother cruise I would be losing - actually a cruise and about $50, since they usually cost me about $750. I'd rather go on another cruise than lose $800!:D But to each his own!;)
