I just booked the Meraviglia out of Port Canaveral for family cruise next spring. I have sailed Carnival Magic, Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas and NCL Epic in the recent past. Would love to hear how others compare if you have experience...specifically with food, drink/bar lines, passenger crowding and things for teens to to. TIA.🤩

I have not sailed on any of the other ships that you mentioned in your post.  But, if you enjoyed those, you will enjoy MSC Meraviglia.

Having sailed NCL many times, we were really happy with our Meraviglia cruise and have 3 more booked with MSC.

We have the Meraviglia booked for this September....hopefully it goes.

We have a cruise next March with another cruiseline.

We have sailed on over 50 cruises on almost every cruiseline. That has been over several decades.

We have watched many things evolve over the years. Used to be coke was free, so was 24hr. room service. There were no pay restaurants, etc. It took years for most changes but....

I expect a lot of things to change quickly over the next year or so. This last year has changed the world a lot. I find it interesting that people are so concerned over when they can book their excursions.....who even knows if most of those will still be in business ?

I cannot imagine the ships will still be able to supply the variety & quantity of food they used to. Have you seen the price of meat lately ? I doubt they will staff the ships with the ratio of the past. Will your cabin be made up twice a day ?

Anyway to get back to your question....MSC used to be VERY Italian. Every announcement was in 5 languages, the menus in 5 languages, etc.

Coffee very European (strong). Food Al Dente, etc. They have Americanized a bit now.

Some people found these things annoying. I liked it.

You will find more Europeans sailing on these ships.

MSC is not for everyone but we like it. I like the differences between cruiselines.

Also, they have the best casino club at sea.

We started with them before they had a Yacht Club area but once we tried that....there is no going back. I know some people do not like the price but remember....you do not have to buy a drink package. It is included, along with free internet.

Their sundeck has a small pool but a large area with  tons of upgraded lounge chairs. Peaceful. Never crowded. Also an outside buffet area there with butlers to get you any drinks or food  you want.
