Carnival doesn't have single cabins. A single in a cabin for two or more is wasting precious cruise line space. In general, one person won't have more on board spend than two or more people. There is a whole host of reasons why singles should pay a higher per diem. As for loyalty programs, they are all marketing programs, subject to change at anytime.
