Booking with cruise line or agent?? Pros n Cons please

The only downside to going through a TA is the failure to find a reasonably good one IMHO.

 

There are a few out there who actually charge for re-pricing, cabin location changes, or cancellations over and above what the cruise line charges. 

 

Avoid these types and the obvious order takers/keyboarder types.

 

TA's have their share of complete duds, just as the cruise lines do with their CSR's.  If you get one, simply pass and try another.
