davemorton Posted July 8, 2021 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2021 Do any of the people in the know, know if they may be thinking of relaxing the no back to back cruise rules if restrictions get relaxed on the next government update please?
July morning Posted July 8, 2021 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2021 I don't know about P&O but I got an email today from FO about my cruise in August. It said " We're writing to let you know about a new opportunity that has arisen. Now that all guests sailing on your cruise will be fully vaccinated, Government guidelines allow us to reintroduce back-to-back sailings" I expect other cruise lines will start doing the same, probably why they said passengers have to be fully vaccinated 1

If they did relax this rule, I would certainly be looking to back to back our current staycation. 1

Yes, me too, 4 nights is just not long enough, especially travelling down from the NE
Son of Anarchy Posted July 9, 2021 #5 Share Posted July 9, 2021 Even if they said that we couldn't go ashore on the turnaround day, we would be happy to stay on board. Leisurely breakfast, sit out on deck weather permitting and a leisurely afternoon with a beer or three...
sandancer Posted July 9, 2021 #6 Share Posted July 9, 2021 Just holding for PO reservations to find out if there are any possible changes. I may give up soon as they are taking about a 45 min wait.

You are so right about that journey from the NE.

I already have a Princess cruise booked, but was hoping to add on to the end/do something before that, but the B2B ban covers all the Carnival companies (makes sense). Also have a Marella cruise next week, which will be an utterly different experience, being able to get home in under half an hour from getting off the ship, will be very strange! sandancer Posted July 9, 2021 #9 Share Posted July 9, 2021 I tried to add on a Princess cruise at the end of our Britannia 7 nights but no go. Saw the Marella ship this morning docked right where the Azura spent the last few months.

Ok so seeing the ship today and then you reminding me how easy it is to get to the port - I’ve been and gone and booked it. Never taken a Marella cruise before but we were on this ship when it was Celebrity Century. Roll on Tuesday. 1
Ladyshopper23 Posted July 10, 2021 #11 Share Posted July 10, 2021 We've got a Princess cruise booked, then go on a Disney cruise the next day (Disney was booked first!). Seems a weird rule. On MSC you can back to back, and you can on Disney too.

Never done a Marella either, so will be interesting.
