APEX - what’s the deal with excursions?

Hope those of you able to get onboard are enjoying. 
 

a quick question - what’s the current situation with excursions on APEX? Are they happening? And are you only able to go ashore on Celebrity ones or can you go ashore independently?

From what i have read from people that have posted from the last 3 cruises of Apex you can go ashore on your own or a private tour or even Celebrity. there seems to be no restrictions in place

At this point it is more or less down to the decisions of the countries visited. Most of Apex's itineraries are only including Greek ports and Cyprus at this point, and Greece allows passengers ashore without needing to be in a "bubble".  I believe the same is true of Cyprus.

 

However, I'm not sure that cruises calling in Italy, for example, would have the same leeway.
