YankeesFan4Life Posted July 11, 2021 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2021 Thumbing through the app and looking at deck plans, it shows American Icon Grill aft on Deck 3. However nothing is mentioned on the Royal website or ship info about it. Anyone know if it’s open or available to dine in? Reviews online say it’s a bit better than the MDR and at no cost, and definitely something I’d love to try but no info!!!
Steeler Nation At Sea Posted July 11, 2021 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2021 (edited) Just another name for the MDR. At one point, the MDR's were split up into separate restaurants with separate menus in a concept called Dynamic Dining, which wasn't popular and abandoned years ago. I didn't think the concept was ever implemented on Oasis class, though the dining rooms on floors 3, 4, and 5 were renamed and re-decorated on the Oasis, Allure's sister ship. taglovestocruise Posted July 11, 2021 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2021 (edited) It looks like a Diner . Decorated on the walls with lots of license plates. Usually used in the morning and afternoon for lunch and breakfast. No way is it as nice as the other two decks. Some Oasis class use it only for MTD, and some use it only for assigned dining. If used for assigned dinning it is your only MDR option for the week. On our Allure cruise American Icon was only for MTD. Our last cruise on Symphony we had a two top on the balcony, best views ever. happy cruising Edited July 11, 2021 by taglovestocruise
