Princess credits

We have princess credits.
 

Just wondering if these have expiry dates?

 

Can you use them on Cunard cruise or any of the other groups lines or must they be princess cruises?

 

if you decide not to use these credits, can you give them to other members of your family?

 

looking at Europe 2023 but really have no idea if we will ever get there

Yes, they have expiry dates, either book by or cruise by. However Princess will extend the expiry date if you want to book or cruise beyond the current expiry date.

 

They can only be used on Princess cruises, and cruise credits on other lines cannot be used for Princess cruises.

 

I don't believe you can give them to other people. Effectively they are like a FCD which can only be used by the person who purchased it.

 

However if the FCC is a result of having a cruuse cancelled and you can't use it by the expiry date I believe the portion that represents monies that you have paid to Princess can be refunded but you lose any additional FCC given to you as incentive to leave your money with Princess. Usually with cancellation FCCs they show as two amounts, the actual payment amount and the "bonus" amount.
