Greenock embarkation

What check in time have people been given?  Ours is so late we now have nowhere to go for 5 hours. Not too impressed by the MSC responses to our TA.

Alternatively any ideas for parking other than at a hotel?

Are they strict on check in times or would they say give some latitude to Yacht Club guests who came earlier?

Thanks

Not surprised.   A travel agent is not going to be as determined to get someone to answer the phone as you would be yourself.

Disagree re our agent - he wasn't calling the call centre, he called much further up the chain.  I heard one side of the call and I think he could do no more.

YC guests have maximum latitude, and there should be YC butlers with paddle boards to escort you to the front of the queue....if not, ask a senior looking official. Not sure how that would go down so close to dear old Glesgae, but you paid through the nose for it so it's your right. I would certainly go at the earliest time suitable to us, and generally we aim for an 11am boarding.

I appreciate it isn't Greenock but I turned up at Liverpool an hour early for my allocated time of 12.20. The staff were very helpful. Simply saying they were quiet so please go through. They had 250 boarding on 13 July.

If you have no joy with your travel agent/MSC perhaps just ask if you are there early.

It is a lovely ship and everyone was really helpful on board.

Thanks, still being told we would not be allowed in the terminal.  We are not entirely comfortable pleading our case with a local security guard for the same reasons as you were hesitant!!  Have to say compared to Azamara and Celebrity the pre cruise suite experience/customer service experience is really poor but I will come to my overall conclusions the day after disembarking.
