That response is usually the kiss of death for a sailing.   In almost every case after being told this the cruise is subsequently cancelled for charter, dry dock, re-deployment etc.

Agree!  I think a number of things caused this not just the CDC.  We can only speculate but I would bet these ships weren't full enough.   I always say "Sh.. Happens for a Reason".   There are always other options than cruising.....plus we have an October and November cruise planned.

I have started writing (newspapers, TV outlets, FL governor, senators, congressmen) as I truly believe what the CDC has done is wrong.  Summit has a 100% vaccinated crew and guests and all must test negative.  There is no reason why they should have done this to Summit.  I can see ships that aren't sailing with everyone vaccinated and tested.  I have lost all patience for illogical rules.

 

I am very sorry for everyone effected by this....I'm sorry for Celebrity's crew, too!
