JAB8408 Posted February 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2006 I'm not new to Celebrity, but will be sailing with Century for the first time next month. Am I correct in thinking there is a guided tour of the ship early on Embarkation day? I'd like to hear about the artwork on board, and some of the history of this "older" ship, before it gets refurbished in April. Best wishes, JAB
Rare Lois R Posted February 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2006 Hi:) I have sailed Century 3 times and each time have been on the ship right around the noon hour. I have never heard of a tour before sailing. Enjoy your cruise. She is a wonderful ship:)
flashdog_1 Posted February 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2006 It was at 1:30 I think. No one was there when we arrived at 1:30 so we and another lady looked for them and found them at their first stop. We did not enter the dining room (so no chance to check our table assignments), but definitely got a lay of the Land ha. They walked pretty rapidly. I did get a chance to ascend to the higher theater seats to see the view from there. We were able to ask questions. Guide was a delightful fellow. ocngypz Posted February 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2006 The tour is not very specific, it is mainly to tet you familiar with the various different areas of the ship. Check the Century Daily in your stateroom on embarkation. The time and meeting place will be listed.
