Are they only testing you at the pier or are their daily test going on during the cruise? Just off the jade last Sunday -- We were tested once at the pier before embarkation and then again 5 days later. Both tests were mandatory, and we had no "positives" on our 7-night cruise. I am 100% in support of 100% vaccinated cruises!
Shidah Posted August 18, 2021 #77 Share Posted August 18, 2021 This is the best news I’ve heard all day. Agree, kudos to NCL.
deliver42 Posted August 18, 2021 #78 Share Posted August 18, 2021 I wish they'd make it permanent until this virus is under control.

If anybody believes that it's not, they just haven't been paying attention.
Goldconnection Posted August 19, 2021 #80 Share Posted August 19, 2021 Kudos to NCL for standing its ground by putting passenger safety first. B2B2B cruises where everyone is vaccinated and no children is a dream come true for me. 🥳
wally4ever Posted August 19, 2021 #81 Share Posted August 19, 2021 Hopefully a vaccine for kids gets approved by October 23... otherwise it's going to be a sad Christmas.

The wording is very specific and should not be confusing at all. The part that will not be understood is the guest who will be telling the staff at the pier: "Well, if I can't cruise then why on Earth didn't you cancel my reservation? If you allowed my reservation to remain in place and you took my money then I should be allowed to board". You understand the situation...I understand the situation...however, that does not mean that EVERYONE will understand the situation. (Hence the problem). nhtravels Posted August 19, 2021 #83 Share Posted August 19, 2021 Personally, I'd like to see them keep the 100% vaccinated. At least until these numbers are considerably lower. I applaud NCL for setting such a high standard on this one!

Excellent point! NCL cannot anticipate what people will want to do. There's gonna be a lot of drama at check-in!
