Doubled double C&A points?

I had a thoroughly enjoyable 8 night cruise around the UK last month. I booked it during the double points promotion and also got an Up bid accepted to a junior suite. 

I have had 16 c&a points awarded to my account. 

As it was a suite, should I have been awarded 32 points?

I have emailed crown and anchor but they haven't replied.

I think if your original booking was a balcony or lower, you only get the double points.  You would have to had booked a JS or higher and then get the RoyalUP for the higher point total.

If you get a suite using Up you do not get the suite points unless you were already in a suite grade cabin.

JB is correct.  You receive the points for the cabin that you had BOOKED when using a RoyalUp.  You get the other perks of your new cabin, but the points remain with the cabin that you had booked. 

 

Lesson learned.  🙂
