Yes.  assuming you do port in GT--it's closed now and they are diverting ships to other ports--go out to the taxi stand and ask one of the drivers for a tour of the island.  It's very small, they'll take you to the lighthouse and the salt works, the official John Glenn capsule, through Cockburntown and more.  The islanders are very proud of their little speck in the ocean and can provide a lot of history.

Go online and search for Grand Turk taxi tours.  There's a woman that runs them who is excellent in her knowledge and if the port is open will have some one meet you in the taxi area.
