Cherry on Top Gift Cards

Trying to get info on this about using OBC. In reading through other posts I'm seeing conflicting info.

Specifically I'm talking about non-FCC OBC...just OBC from a promo or because of a price drop, etc.

Is there anyone who has sailed recently that can answer if you can buy GC with this?

Thanks in advance!

Buy one the second day of your cruise. Check your folio after it posts. If the charge does not reduce your OBC, couldn't you just submit it for payment towards your S&S folio before the end of the cruise?

Keep it for future use if it is indeed charged off your OBC balance.

Post back here and let everyone know your results. Someone has to take one for the team.

I cruised on the Vista August 14 to 21 and had $600 on board credit I bought  2/$200 gift card at Cherry on Top and was told if I did not used all of it on this cruise it would be good on a future cruise.

So you were able to use $400 of your $600 on gift cards that you carried off the ship and left the other $200 to pay for gratuities, drinks, excursions, pictures and such?

You have to go to the service desk to have the gift cards loaded to your sign and sail account.

Thanks so much. So, to be clear, the $400 you spent was taken from your $600 OBC, leaving you with $200 OBC and $400 in gift cards you could use however you wanted.

Is that correct?

Yes and as I said I gave 1 $200 card to my daughter and see went to guest services and had it added to her sign and sail card. I ended up putting the other one on my account and at the end of the cruise I had only$68 left on my account and I went to guest services and was given that in cash. I had used all my on board credit.
